Why Traditional NPS Falls Short
While developing my unique approach to satisfaction and promoter studies, I noticed that NPS wasn't based in a competitive context. Traditional NPS programs ask the respondent to evaluate one brand without the context of other brands.
The measure has been about evaluating the brand you last experienced without the context of any other brands:
"How likely are you to recommend us to a friend or colleague?"
The SCORE Metrics Solution
My approach uses the HauckEye Sort & Score approach, which forces the respondent to sort the brands in terms of the key measure first.
"Please sort the following brands based on how likely you are to recommend each to a friend or colleague."
"Please share 100 points across these brands to show your priority for recommending each to a friend or colleague. Please use all 100 points."
